বর্ষায় পানিতে টই টই, শীতে শুকিয়ে বিস্তীর্ণ শস্যক্ষেত। যেদিকে চোখ যায় শুধু সবুজ আর সবুজ। আর এই সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করতে যেতে হবে মুন্সীগঞ্জ এর আড়িয়াল বিলে। আড়িয়াল বিল ঢাকার দক্ষিণে পদ্মা ও ধলেশ্বরী নদীর মাঝখানে অবস্থিত প্রায় ১৩৬ বর্গ কিলোমিটার আয়তনের একটি অবভূমি। নানা রকম শীতের সবজি চাষ হয় আড়িয়াল বিলে। তবে এ বিলের বিশেষ আকর্ষণ বিশাল আকৃতির মিষ্টি কুমড়া। পুরো আড়িয়াল বিল জুড়ে শীতে চাষ হয় মিষ্টি কুমড়া। শীত শেষে পাকলে মাঠ থেকে তোলা হয়। এছাড়া শুকনা আড়িয়াল বিলে খাবারের খোঁজে ঘুরে বেড়ায় নানান জাতের ছোট বড় পাখি। ঢাকার আশে পাশে হওয়ার কারনে খুব সকালে গিয়ে সন্ধ্যার মধ্যেই ঢাকা ফিরে আসা যায়।
মুন্সীগঞ্জের শ্রীনগর বাজার থেকে একটি সড়ক এঁকেবেঁকে সোজা চলে গেছে আড়িয়াল বিলের দিকে। এ পথে শ্যামসিদ্ধি গ্রাম পেড়িয়ে আরও সামনে গেলে গাদিঘাট। এ পর্যন্ত পিচঢালা পথ। সেখান থেকে কালভার্ট পেরিয়ে আরও সামনে কিছু দূর গেলে সড়কের শেষ। আড়িয়াল বিলের শুরু মূলত গাদিঘাট থেকেই। সেখান থেকে সর্পিল আঁকাবাঁকা একটি খাল চলে গেছে বিলের ভেতরে। শীতে সে খালের পানি শুকিয়ে তলায় ঠেকে। দূর বিল থেকে নৌকা বোঝাই মিষ্টি কুমড়া নিয়ে আসেন গুন টেনে। গুন টানা বাংলাদেশের গ্রামাঞ্চলে অনেক আগে দেখা যেত। ইঞ্জিনের সহজলভ্যতার কারণে তা হারিয়ে গেলেও এখনো আড়িয়াল বিলে শীতে দেখা যায়।
কিভাবে যাবেন:
ঢাকা থেকে আড়িয়াল বিলে এক দিনেই ঘুরে আসা যায়। ঢাকার গুলিস্তান থেকে মাওয়াগামী যে কোনো বাসে চড়ে নামতে হবে শ্রীনগরের ভেজবাজার। ভাড়া ৫০ থেকে ৭০ টাকা। এ পথের ভালো বাস ‘ইলিশ’ পরিবহন ও বিআরটিসি। সেখান থেকে ব্যাটারি চালিত রিকশা নিয়ে সোজা যেতে হবে গাদিঘাট। ভাড়া ২৫০ থেকে ৩৫০ টাকা। সেখান থেকে ভালো একটা ট্রলার দেড় হাজার টাকায় সারা দিনের জন্য ভাড়া নিয়ে ঘুরে আসুন আড়িয়াল বিল। আড়িয়াল বিলে বেড়িয়ে আবার গাদিঘাটে এসে ফেরার রিকশা পাবেন।
